  1. Idelia bottleThis icon wine got its name from the Teutonic word meaning nobility, Idelia captures the top notes of red cultivars in a truly exceptional blend. It represents the fullness of the fruit and the power of masterly blending. The result of 60 years of Swartland’s wine making experience, Idelia is a limited-release wine.

    The final product is the result of the highest-quality wines, blended together, each contributing its own character to capture the essence of nobility.

    Idelia is a soft, multi-dimensional wine with layers of fruit, berries, coffee and vanilla flavours. It is evocative of all that is ripe, yet with an underlying softness. Well-integrated oak complements the palate. This wine also has a lingering aftertaste and well-balanced tannin structure.

  2. Indalo range

    Swartland Winery s flagship range of wines is the boutique premium brand Indalo. Named after the Xhosa word for nature, Indalo wines are made from grapes mainly grown on bush vines, the traditional way of cultivating vineyards in the warm and dry climate of the Swartland. The smaller grapes flourish under these ideal conditions, creating complex wines with ripe tannins, concentrated aromas and rich flavours. Indalo wines are made in limited quantities in a seperate small boutique cellar. The cellar master and viticulturist select the best blocks of every vintage from sought after sites. The five cultivars in the range have won acclaim at international wine shows and offers a classic and sophisticated addition to the connoisseurs collection.

  3. Signature Range

    The Swartland range of wines is the winery s signature collection of popular, easy drinking and well respected varietals. Cooled by sea breezes from the Atlantic Ocean and grown mostly in the low yielding bush vine method in dry land conditions, the grapes that are harvested for the Swartland ranges bear testament to dedicated farming. The smaller, intensely flavoured berries, regularly produce wines of high quality and consistency allowing the winemakers to create the value for constant quality wines that the cellar is known for. These Swartland wines are a true gift of nature.
