  1. Avalon This wine was inspired by Italian Amarone wine tradition and in 2001 the idea to make a South African version was introduced by Markus Rahman, the owner of Asara wine Estate.

    Winemaker's tasting notes:
The natural concentration through evaporative loss of water in the grapes, created a full bodied wine with intense flavours and big, silky tannins. Pleasant aromas of ripe plums, red currant and violets lead to a spicy taste sensation filled with rich flavour of cedar, sour cherry and oak mellowed mocha.

    Food suggestions:
Ideal with as a meditation wine with nuts and cheese. Alternatively, strong flavoured foods such as rich stews, bison or wild boar would be an excellent combination.
  2. Bell Tower Estate Wine The Bell Tower Estate Wine is the flagship wine of Asara Estate. Only their best goes into the Bell Tower. This wine being a true "Big FIve" blend, you can find intense aromas of black cherry and cassis combined with hints of mocha that are elegently supported by maturation characteristics. The taste us powerful yet balanced. Ripe fruit flavours and mature tannins are surrounded by fresh acidity to reflect the rewards of careful maturation in small barrels for 24 months. A subtle marriage between fruit and wood resulted in a well integrated wine.

    Food suggestions:
Ideal with a heart Osso Bucco, venison meats or oaksmoked game birds.
  3. Ebony Ebony is meant to be an easy drinking wine for all good times, made for your enjoyment... and nothing else, so let's celebrate life!!!A deep red coulour predicts the mellowed flavours of the palate. On the nose there is a combination of red berries and bell pepper. The taste is juicy and reminds of ripe plums with a soft nuance of mocha in the background -it simply is more-ish. This wine is an ideal companion for any spicy dish and alongside somegood company. A fabulous wine to take to your friends braai.
  4. Ivory The quality white wine that is unpretentiously delicious. "Don't even blink, just drink... and enjoy it!".

The past six vintages of Ivory proved that this blend of 71% Sauvignon Blanc and 29% Unwooded Chardonnay is here to stay. The Sauvignon Blanc contributes aromas of green-fruit (kiwi, passion fruit and green apple) and asparagus, whilst the Chardonnay contributes more soft soft citrus fruit flavours to smotth the palate.Excellently balanced fruit, acidity and sweetness.
